Consignment Policy
NOTE: CHANGES TO "HOW TO GET PAID"
We try to maintain high quality standards. Please read all of the information below.
Items accepted for consignment include:
-Clothing sizes: Preemie - size 8 - shoes, accessories and dancewear
-Maternity clothing
-Quality children's furniture & baby equipment & accessories
-Childrens toys, wood puzzles, DVD's, CD's, etc...
-Parenting books (help books, etc...)
SORRY WE CAN'T ACCEPT: BUREAUS, VHS, STUFFED ANIMALS, OPEN BOARD GAMES OR PILLOWS.
Our Quality Standards
EACH ITEM SHOULD BE CLEAN / WRINKLE FREE AND READY FOR DISPLAY!!
1. Clothes must be in season, current styles & in "like-new" condition. Name brands always sell best.
2. Zippers work & buttons are not missing with all items snapped, zipped & buttoned.
3. Clothes must be freshly laundered (within last 3 weeks) & free of odors.
4.** Make sure 2+ piece outfits are kept together.
5. Toys must be clean, working and with batteries installed if applicable.
6. Toys must be clean with no broken or missing pieces (pieces bagged if applicable).
7. Baby equipment & furniture must be CLEAN, safe & new within the last 4 years.
8. Car seats must be new within the last 3 years.
9. Check the safety of your toys & equipment at www.cpsc.gov
10. All clothing must be dropped off in plastic bins or boxes. (Larger items excluded) We can only take one bin or box of clothing per appointment. NO TRASH BAGS PLEASE!!!
11. All appointments are considered "drop off" appointments. Again, we can only take 1 bin or box of clothing per appointment. Any bins and items we can't take should be pick up 7 days after drop off. Unfortunately, due to the business, we are not able to go through the items with you at the time of drop. Thank you very much for understanding!
Terms
-Just Kidding consigns for a period of approx. 90 days (all consignments end on the last day of the 3rd month)
-Consigner may claim any unsold merchandise any time ON or BEFORE the consignments end date.
-Any unclaimed items become property of Just Kidding on the 91st day.
-All prices are set by Just Kidding as fairly as possible for the consigner and the buyer.
-Consigner receives 50% of the sold price.
-Items (clothing only) will be marked down 25% after 30 days then 50% after 60 days.
-All items are subject to Just Kidding Sale promotions
HOW TO GET PAID
1-Shop with a store credit (for items sold) anytime throughout the consignment period.
2-Checks will be issued during the LAST WEEK of each month at Just Kidding. You must come in.
(example: If your consignment ends last day of March 2011. You may come in any time during the
LAST WEEK of Jan. Feb & March to pick up checks for sold items.)
Sorry we CAN NOT accept telephone calls to check balances.
Sorry but checks will no longer be sent at end of consignment. You must come in to pick up your check.
We have donated items to that have passed through the consignment period to local charities and families in need.
Just Kidding is NOT responsible for lost or damaged merchandise due to theft or unpredictable circumstances.
